Halloween's Happy Memories

Halloween Friends

SOLD

Although Halloween 2015 has come and gone, the happy memories remain! Spending time with family and friends enjoying the season is the best part of the holiday! The days leading up to it include seeing many of my Halloween art-loving collectors at shows. And I am able to see my dear friends and beloved family who live afar.

Closer to home, my husband and I had our annual Halloween party with many of our friends dressing up as all sorts of spooky and kooky characters! What fun we had celebrating with lots of yummy treats including caramel apples, witch's bones (an Emerill recipe) and witch's fingers (pretzels) made a la Martha Stewart. Not to mention all the other delectable treats party-goers brought for all to enjoy and tasty spirits.

And friendship is what inspired me to create my latest spun cotton piece pictured above. It is available and featured now on the EHAG Emporium, along with a slew of other wonderful Halloween pieces from my fellow Eclectic Halloween Artist Guild members.

Halloween Friends is made of spun cotton using techniques from Victorian times. Ms. Spider measures almost 6" across and the pair are about 3" tall. With a wire armature, her legs can be positioned how you like. She wears a vintage crepe paper collar and tiny witch hat. All were handmade by me, painted and aged to fit in with other vintage Halloween pieces.

I hope you enjoyed your Halloween surrounded by friends and all the sights, sounds and tastes of October 31!
